Time : 8.00 a.m. to 12 a.m.
Location : on the rocky edge of a beach near Teluk Bahang
Weather : quite clear, no breeze, hot in fact
Sea condition : water not that high at first, gradually getting higher, strong waves
It's my first time fishing at such a place(rocks, strong waves). Came with two friends, we set up, and was fishing in no time, I throw my first cast, waited for a few minutes, tried reeling it in, but phew it was heavy, I thought it was stuck or something, but with some effort, it moved, and it came nearer, i see something, and wow, it was aCRAb, and a big one, but sadly as I've reeled closer, the hook slip out of it's mouth, and off it goes....HAizz, but fun though. One of my friend was on a rock a bit further, I heard him shouting, BIG ONE!!!, from afar his fishing rod bent so freaking scary, as if it was going to break, saw him fighting with the fish, BUT SADLY AGAIN, the hook slipped from the fish's mouth, and bye bye big fish, probably a grouper. The tide gradually got higher and higher, and the waves stronger, in a while the rock we were on, was covered with water, and we got wet, quite scary , the water was quite deep, eventualy we got out of that situation and went further in shore, and casting again, but in vain. I learned something today, i thought as a beginner, i should fish at some easier places first, and another thing, our equipment were seriously lacking, should be more prepared.
