My Orchid - Taking it Seriously
I bought an orchid a few years back, and now a few years later, still no flowers. Well maybe I was very lazy with it, never put in any effort to make it bloom, I've even forgot to water it most of the time. I think I should be happy that it didn't die, HAHA....And now, I have decided to try my best to make this orchid of mine BLOOOOOOOMM.

Fishing at the seaside near Burger King(near Jelutong express)

Fishing here for the second time if i'm not wrong, as I caught a few pek zho( gerut-gerut) the first time, so I returned to see what else I can fish out. As this is written 8 days after, cannot remember much, only remember my brother caught a fish I never caught before or seen people hook up, but only in the market, so I assumed it can't be caught near the shore. I do not know the name of the fish. As soon as it was landed, someone came and told us that someone else caught bigger on the other side, double the size and the one we caught was not small.

Fishing at Esplanade 15th september 2010

Time : 6.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

Weather : was raining then cloudy, very cold, unusually cold
Sea condition : water quite high, slight waves
Bait : Squid
Today I was also joined by friends, and with limited rods. My okuma reel is as usual, tangles easily, seahawk, even worse, I found out it's sand in it, from teluk bahang. We got no fish again, but the ice-cream man told us, people are getting a lot of pek zho(a kind of snapper i think), and yet we don't get anything? Luck?? maybe, but i figured maybe the weight i use is alittle too light, making it harder to cast far, plus my lousy reel condition, the squid i used as bait is also questionable, maybe too hard? too big? I still Don't Know!!

Found out that maybe the line on my okuma reel is causing its poor performance, its as if this rod is cursed, u hardly get any fish with it. The line tangles easily, making it harder to cast far, resulting in ULTRA poor performance. And the other seahawk reel, ultra jam too, but still able hook fish.........I didn't fish much on this day, as many friends joined me, but with limited fishing rods. Fish count for the day was 4 Ikan Gelama. Neighboring fishers got bags of fish, why?????

Fishing at Esplanade 12th september 2010

Time : 4.00 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
Location : Esplanade
Weather : quite clear, wind quite strong
Sea condition : water quite high, slight waves
Well, this is the first time I have ever went fishing alone. Esplanade is pack with people as its a Sunday and its Raya, i see many kites flying on the sky too, many were of the same design and pattern, maybe they bought them from the same seller. The kites flew high up in the skies, children, couples, their laughter, a very pretty scene. There were many people fishing too. I was too fishing in no time, but, there was no fish, 1 hour had passed, 2, 3, and coming 4, the sky is turning dark, and still no fish, i was disappointed, ( actually that day i wasn't very happy either) so decided to pack my things, reel in the line, as I reel, i did not felt any resistance, as the hook came closer, I felt some weight, and later it became heavier, and HAHA, A fish, not that big, but biggest specimen of Ikan Gelama ive caught............and i thought about this word.....PATIENCE!!!

Fishing at a beach somewhere near Teluk Bahang( near the closed down MUtiara Hotel) 10th september 2010

Time : 8.00 a.m. to 12 a.m.
Location : on the rocky edge of a beach near Teluk Bahang
Weather : quite clear, no breeze, hot in fact
Sea condition : water not that high at first, gradually getting higher, strong waves
It's my first time fishing at such a place(rocks, strong waves). Came with two friends, we set up, and was fishing in no time, I throw my first cast, waited for a few minutes, tried reeling it in, but phew it was heavy, I thought it was stuck or something, but with some effort, it moved, and it came nearer, i see something, and wow, it was aCRAb, and a big one, but sadly as I've reeled closer, the hook slip out of it's mouth, and off it goes....HAizz, but fun though. One of my friend was on a rock a bit further, I heard him shouting, BIG ONE!!!, from afar his fishing rod bent so freaking scary, as if it was going to break, saw him fighting with the fish, BUT SADLY AGAIN, the hook slipped from the fish's mouth, and bye bye big fish, probably a grouper. The tide gradually got higher and higher, and the waves stronger, in a while the rock we were on, was covered with water, and we got wet, quite scary , the water was quite deep, eventualy we got out of that situation and went further in shore, and casting again, but in vain. I learned something today, i thought as a beginner, i should fish at some easier places first, and another thing, our equipment were seriously lacking, should be more prepared.

Fished at the same spot again, used sotong(squid) as bait. It wasn't long when i felt a pull on the line, I reeled in, this is the first time i felt some resistance, as I was reeling it in, I can feel the fish swimming on the opposite direction, but in no time, it was up ashore, it was a Pek(white) zho, in Hokkien, a kind of snapper if not wrong, a juvenile i think, around 14 cm. I thought it gave quite a resistance for it's size, I am thinking what would it be like fighting an adult fish.......And that was the only fish caught that day.

Fishing at Esplanade 7th september 2010

Time : 10.30 p.m. to 1.30 p.m.
Location : Esplanade
Weather : quite clear, breeze
Sea condition : high water, fairly strong waves, a lot of current movement( where i dono)
It was quite a while before I reeled in something, and it's not fish I've reeled in, its someone Else's silver and pieces of equipment(i dono call what) that is still usable. After a while, roughly around 12 midnight, i CAUGHT my FIRST FISH, it was small, did not felt any resistance when i reeled it in, it was a ikan gelama (usually Chinese will pronounce it as hulama ) Nibea soldado, if i'm not wrongen. And later on fish came at quite a consistent rate, wait 4 to 5 minutes , got 1, totaled up 9 of the same species.

Sea Condition : High Tide, Strong Waves
Today we got no fish, but it was enjoyable, the weather was fun, the waves hitting on the retention wall, making big splashes, some splashed on the cars parked on the side, EVEN mine!! HAHA....Anyway still got no fish!!I wonder when will i get my first fish on line and hook. And i used sotong as bait, one thing weird, the bait seems to be undisturbed every time i reeled it back, maybe the waves were too strong or the squid pieces were too big.

Fishing - Prolouge
I have been fishing by hook and line for quite a few times now, but i haven't hook up anything yet, well, excluding rubbish. Some caught fish on their first cast, i have throw out the line for so many times i have lost count, and yet not even a fish. HAHA!!! I really hope to hook one soon.

The White cloth
You have been patient, nice, it seems like you always are like a piece of white cloth, someone reliable, but some come to u so cranky and messed up, asking that white cloth for some comfort, but you got that white cloth stained with a dot of soy sauce from that wan than mee(local noodle dish) this morning, some can't stand that stain, blames you for not caring for the white cloth carefully, turns the situation to you are not that white cloth anymore, I don't know you, but you are thinking, you are telling the truth just harder thats it, and its that someone that got themselves into that mess. You think sometimes it's not nice to be nice.

That Fish in the Pond
It feels like you have cast out the bait, u wait, and you start to feel the sun can be so hot sometimes, and then things got worst, the sky turned gray, it started to rain, but u are not giving up, u can see that fish u want swimming around, and later another guy came, cast out the bait, And in minutes, he got the fish that was in that pood, you went :0, then u cant help but go over and ask what bait did u use, he answered apple, then u go isn't that a Toman(predatory fish), that guy, yea, but this one's a vegetarian.....Great, and you start to wonder, how did he know that the fish's a vegetarian??
